We are passionate about Youth and High School baseball in Missouri. We’re convinced that there are some important things missing from typical Youth and Travel Organizations:

An open integration of Christian values and faith as a developmental force in the lives of young athletes.
We are developing a Youth and High School baseball that addresses those missing pieces. There are three core value concepts that drive our approach: Faith, Character, and Excellence

GSR is expanding into the St. Louis area...
GSR - STL Baseball / Softball
At GSR we are excited to announce that GSR is expanding in the St Louis market. Head Coach Jonah Purvis will be on the baseball side with a 15u Select team and Head Coach Ashley Croom is with the 12u Softball side. We are excited to see Jonah and Ashley build the GSR Market starting with these 2 teams in 2025.

I'm Jonah Purvis, and I have played baseball since the age of 3 years old. Played select/travel ball from 7th grade on, played high school baseball for the St. Louis Patriots.
I played my 8th grade and freshman year summers with the STL Force, my junior summer I played for the STL Naturals and my senior summer I played for the STL redbirds.
I played 1 year of college baseball at
Ecclesia College in Springdale Arkansas as a catcher.
I have a passion for coaching and teaching younger talent how to get to the next level and preform at their fullest potential. I am looking forward to coaching this summer and having a great team.

Jonah Purvis 15u GSR Select - STL Baseball
I’m Ashley Croom, and I graduated from Herculaneum High School in 2020 with a deep passion for softball, having 12 years of experience in the sport.
I played select softball for six years and was part of my high school team for three years, where I played varsity softball all three years. During that time, I received all-conference and all-district honors multiple years in a row, which fueled my love for the game even further.
Recently, I had the opportunity to coach a 9-10u team in the Twin City Little League, where I enjoyed nurturing young talent and helping them develop a love for the game. Additionally, I have been coaching Upward Basketball for three years and counting, which has further enriched my experience in mentoring young athletes.
In the past, I was fortunate to receive a softball scholarship to Missouri Baptist University, where I gained invaluable experience both on and off the field. This past spring, I also offered private pitching lessons, allowing me to work closely with players and boost their confidence on the mound.
Currently, I’m enrolled at Jefferson College, pursuing a degree in education. My goal is to become an educator while also coaching at the high school or middle school level. I’m eager to mentor young athletes and help them grow both on and off the field.
